Stormy (Michael Burns), owner of Stormy’s Motorsports & Marine, began racing snowmobiles back in 1970 with his father. After furthering his education at various Tech Colleges, Stormy moved to Colorado from Iowa in 1976. Once in Colorado he worked for Honda, Yamaha, Polaris and SkiDoo dealers in the Denver area.
It was in 1987 when Stormy opened his own Polaris Dealership, retaining the dealer status until 1996 when personal reasons brought him back to the Iowa / Minnesota region. Founding Stormy’s Motorsports & Marine in 1999, Stormy has grown the business into a powerhouse sales and repair facility capable of servicing all makes and models of watercraft and motorsports equipment.
Based so close to 20+ lakes and located in Minnesota, “the land of 10,000 lakes,” Stormy and his staff have watched the marine side of the business grow and develop at a rapid pace. Today the company is a certified dealer of docks and lifts, and provides marine-based storage while still professionally servicing snowmobiles, ATVs, and personal watercraft.
Stormy has been involved in all types of snowmobile racing since 1970 and his passion for the sport and related activities dates back even further. As an individual who thoroughly enjoys all of the recreational activities available in the upper-Midwest – snowmobiling, four-wheeling and water sports – you can be assured that he operates his business to maximize your season.

As a full-serve repair facility we are able to provide parts, service and maintenance for ALL makes and models of inboard and outboard motors, boats, personal watercraft, snowmobiles and ATVs. We retain trained and certified mechanics and technicians that take pride in their work. Whether we sell you a new boat lift, repair your snowmobile or service your pontoon, we strive to ensure customer service and satisfaction remains at the forefront.
